Back from Hols!

So we are back from our holidays in Spain and back to reality. It is actually really great to be back home after a somewhat disastrous final 10 days. We had a really horrible ordeal with a bike hire company after our rented bicycles were stolen. It was just awful! Anyway, now we're home and back to work. Reality sucks!

The Olds

Mum and Dad have come to stay with us while they're waiting to move house. This means we have babysitters on tap for whatever whim or adventure we feel like. This is not very good for my liver though, the past 3 weekends have resulted in a hangover of varying degrees of pain. Today's is not too bad, last weeks was hell. I have not had such a good social life since my 20's. Next week, is Mel's birthday. I fear for my life.

Tired.com

My son kept us awake all of last night with a series of ear busting tantrums. I'm thinking I might try and swap him for an iPhone.

New Haircut

Today I had my haircut by Tracey of Cambridge Hair. She is awesome. I love the cut and she was really quick. Conversation flowed too, which I normally hate in a salon, but as she came to my house and I was comfortable in my kitchen, this felt good. I'll def be seeing her for another cut soon. And so should you!

Handful of Daisies

" Mummy! These are for you! Let's count them shall we?"

An hours worth of counting daisies in the spring sunshine later, we made our way to look at the big cranes. It was not as much fun as the counting.

Lost and Found

Looking through the lost and found section on Gumtree, I saw that the only things people had actually lost were cats, and keys. Funny how these are probably what we think are the most precious things we have. Our pets, who we think of as family, and keys, which we depend on so very much on in day to day life. How could we possibly let them out of our sight long enough to lose them? The sense of loss is always greatest for those things which we take for granted. If I lost MY keys. I not only wouldn't be able to get into my home, but my car and into work also. That's like, my whole world! Gone, because of one bunch of shiny dangling beauties. I think the time has come to separate all my keys out.

Happy New Year

My New Year's resolution is to write on here more often. Hopefully every day, more than likely once a week. Virginia Woolf's Diaries have inspired me. How wonderfully she wrote, of all the mundaneness of life, it's stinging paper cuts and intricacies. Fabulous.
