Panicdemic

What is all this Swine Flu business about? I thought I might have caught it because I came out all over in rashers(sorry!). So I phoned the NHS helpline but all I got was crackling(couldn't help it!).

But why?

Why do people keep talking to me like I'm an idiot? Am I really presenting myself that way? Honestly, everyone is doing it. What is it people really imagine me to be doing all the time? Do I sit on my backside all day doing nothing? No... I'd like to remind the universe that I am a mother, self employed, a chef, a housekeeper(not just my own), a wife, a dog walker, I run 2 blogs, I'm about 3 people's PA..... I am quite capable of understanding what I am told and of knowing when I'm being lied to. Or messed around, taken advantage of and the list goes on. I am in fact.. A Grown Up. Just because I occasionally do childish things doesn't make me a baby. I think a few people better take a look much closer to home before starting on me!

Feeling Jaded

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh I feel wretched. A post work drink turned into a full on riot of Cheeky Vimto and Sambuca with the M&M girls. Why oh why do I subject my liver to it? Ash was not impressed to say the least with my stumbling about at 4 in the morning. Mental note to self: Must try harder to not binge drink.

Hands are shaking today.

So....

So, the website is to be added into the pages of a BBC Mag! It's very exciting! Mum is having a coronary about it though, lol! GK and Lisa helped on Sunday to get the photos done for it, whch was lots of running around with white sheets and fanatical fabric folding by myself. I can't wait for it to come out! All their hard work is finally paying off. With lots more magazine stuff coming up AND a vintage fair, we are running around like headless chickens!! But World Domination plans are under way. Mwah hah hah hah hhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!

Walking

Here are a few of the photos i took yesterday, whilst out walking the dog.

Above all, do not lose your desire to walk. Every day I walk myself into a state of well-being and walk away from every illness. I have walked myself into my best thoughts, and I know of no thought so burdensome that one cannot walk away from it. ~Soren Kierkegaard

If you are seeking creative ideas, go out walking. Angels whisper to a man when he goes for a walk. ~Raymond Inmon

There is nothing like walking to get the feel of a country. A fine landscape is like a piece of music; it must be taken at the right tempo. Even a bicycle goes too fast. ~Paul Scott Mowrer, The House of Europe

What really helps motivate me to walk are my dogs, who are my best pals. They keep you honest about walking because when it's time to go, you can't disappoint those little faces. ~Wendie MalickThe true charm of pedestrianism does not lie in the walking, or in the scenery, but in the talking. The walking is good to time the movement of the tongue by, and to keep the blood and the brain stirred up and active; the scenery and the woodsy smells are good to bear in upon a man an unconscious and unobtrusive charm and solace to eye and soul and sense; but the supreme pleasure comes from the talk. ~Mark Twain

A Visit To The Library

Hazel and Roman had great fun in the library the other day, choosing bedtime books and looking at all the pictures we found in them. This was one of our favourites by Eric Carle.

Trainspotters!

We have had a lovely time at the miniature model railway exhibition today. It was fascinating to watch Roman completely in awe of the tiny contraptions whooshing on their teeny tracks, all complete with teeny people, cars, buildings and scenery. Later we went to the mobile library to get Roman his first library books. It was basically a caravan filled with books which to my mind, felt like it would tip over at any given second. This filled Roman with delight as he ran squealing from one end to the other whilst I clung to the adult non fiction for dear life. The return trip in 3 weeks is not going to be a highlight for me I fear. I shall send the husband instead.....

Off To See The Trains

The Little Emperor and I are off to see some miniature trains today. We are going to have great fun and probably have a cup of tea and cake while we're there(care of the W.I.) which is the best bit really!! I'll post some pictures later. Off we go!
